As well as a refined location for weddings, Corte Leonardi is a place steeped in traditions and passion for food and wine. It hosts a number of events in the culinary world, some of which now take place on an annual basis.
Among them is the Pizza Show, an evening entirely dedicated to the most famous Italian dish in the world, which will take place on 10 July in 2023.
It’s a national competition for pizza chefs that’s part of a bigger event called the Pizza World Championship. The World Champion in the Classic Pizza category in 2022 was Italy’s Paolo Moccia, who will be a special guest at this sixth edition of the Pizza Show at Corte Leonardi.
The best pizza chefs in Italy will be battling it out for the prizes. As well as the Classic Pizza category, in this competition the pizza chefs will also be showing their skills in the fields of Pizza Acrobatics, Gourmet Pizza and of course Balsamic Vinegar Pizza.
The menu for the dinner will all be pizza-based and the proceeds will be donated to Don Bosco youth club in Formigine.
The show will be hosted by Andrea Barbi, who will be there as an ambassador of the 44 P.D.O. and P.G.I. traditional products from Emilia-Romagna. During the evening, there will be a performance by the Italian national pizza acrobatics team and the final of MISS MODENA 2023.
